Sunmet Juice Company is a family owned company based on the tradition of hard work, commitment to quality and fair business practices. Our values are very important to us as we work to position ourselves as a major player of Stone Fruit and Pomegranate products in the San Joaquin Valley.
Sunmet is founded on the same principles that started this family business over 40 years ago. The patriarch of the family came to the United States with great ambition in the early 1960s. He started in the Livestock business and through hard work and dedication expanded into Agriculture first in the Imperial Valley before moving to the San Joaquin Valley. In recent years the company has moved to become vertically integrated through processing, packing and storage operations.
The owners of Sunmet are involved in the commercial production of different commodities. These commodities include Pomegranates (both fresh and juice), Cherries, Blueberries, Table Grapes, Almonds and Pistachios. Sunmet uses these long standing relationships to source raw fruit from the San Joaquin Valley and works to convert these fruits to 100% natural ingredients such as fruit juices (NFC and Concentrate) as well as fruit purees.
Since purchasing the existing facility in 2008, Sunmet has made it a top priority to invest a great deal of time and money to improve the facility and to increase quality as we grow in capacity. We are committed to producing juice products that meet the highest standard in regards to quality and safety. We welcome the opportunity to demonstrate that commitment to our suppliers and customers.
Our Team
Sunmet Juice Company works hard to communicate with the Packing Houses and growers in the San Joaquin Valley. Due to the relationships that have been built on the Fresh Produce side of the business, Sunmet is able to effectively source fruit to meet the needs of our customers. We strive to work with the same group of select sources over the course of the entire season to ensure a consistent and quality source of raw product.
Sunmet had the opportunity to enter into a strategic alliance with Milne Fruit Products in 2009. The agreement allowed Milne to offer Sunmet's California grown products to their already extensive offering. The goal of this partnership was to better serve the customer, allowing them to find more quality products through a single convenient source. This partnership was built on many of our core values including trust, honesty and quality. We look forward to many more years of this mutually beneficial relationship.
